We have a weird archway over the entrance to our tub and therefore a shower curtain rod won't fit at the right height. This made it possible for us to have more room in the shower (because of the curve) and be the right height. It was easy to install (as long as you read the instructions) and it's very nice. The brushed nickel matched the rest of the fixtures in our bathroom.
